Terms of use
Short, because a document nobody reads protects nobody. These are the rules of using Pappal, and what happens when they are broken.
Who can use it
You must meet the minimum age shown during sign-up for your region. Listener applicants provide age information for eligibility checks; it is not shown publicly.
Optional paid features
Some versions of Pappal may offer optional paid features. Where available, the price, unit, and applicable terms are shown in the app before confirmation. Pappal does not use automatic subscription renewals.
What is not allowed
- Sexual content, solicitation, grooming, or exploitation.
- Bullying, harassment, threats, hate speech, or evading a block.
- Asking for contact details to move a conversation off the app.
- Impersonation or false professional claims.
- Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor.
Blocking is immediate and mutual. Reports go to a person, not a queue that nobody reads. Accounts that break these rules are suspended, and the conversation history is what we look at — which is why reports attach a copy of the specific message.
If you are in crisis
Contact local emergency services or a recognised helpline. Pappal is not monitored as an emergency channel.
Device permissions
Pappal may ask for notifications, microphone, and camera access so message alerts, voice notes, and video calls work. Whether each permission is required or optional depends on the build you installed and our runtime configuration — internal test builds may treat notifications as optional while production requires them for a full experience. You can change any grant later in your device Settings.
Ending it
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in two taps — see deleting your data. We can suspend an account for breaking the rules above. Abuse reports survive a deletion for 90 days with the reporter's identity removed, and that exception is explained on the privacy page.
Refunds and cancellations
If a paid feature is available in your version of the app, see the refund policy for support and timelines.
What we do not promise
That a particular listener will always be available, that every conversation will meet your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana.
